OVERVIEW: One week prior to ISAT we will be reviewing and practicing ISAT's reading: extended response (a writing portion of the reading test).

HOMEWORK: students will have homework practicing interpreting evidence and linking it back to the thesis

TEST/QUIZZES: students will take practice/mock extended response tests Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (these will count for grades)

6th grade social studies for the week of 2.25.13

OVERVIEW: This week we will be wrapping up the Civil War unit.  We will create maps and discuss the geographic layout of the United States following the war.  Also, readings and video will illustrate the life in the United States at the end of the war, the burning of Atlanta, the Emancipation Proclamation, and Lee's surrender.  We will complete a study guide and review for a test Friday.

HOMEWORK: students will have readings and questions to complete and study guide to complete and review

OVERVIEW: We are getting close to the end of the 3rd quarter and thus our Constitution unit.  This week we are reviewing and completing Article 1 and the Legislative Branch.

HOMEWORK: students will have readings,  questions to answer and a study guide to complete and study

• All scholars must log on to Compass Learning daily to work on folders. They must compete at least a quiz a week. Compass learning grades will be recorded every Monday for the previous week's activities.
• All Study Island assignments must be completed by due dates in order to receive credit. All grades for Study Island assignments will be recorded on Mondays.
