Vocabulary Words 1/28 and Important Events and Reminders

Monday:  Write down the definitions of each vocabulary word.

Tuesday:   Continue to write the definitions of each word.  Write a story using at least 5 of the vocabulary words. Study the definitions.

Wednesday:  Write synonym (a similar word) for the words listed on the board using the Thesaurus.

Thursday:  Practice learning the definitions with the Bingo board.  Study with flash cards.

Friday:  Review definitions and spelling/Vocabulary test Friday.

Important reminders and events:

• Word study quiz and figurative language quiz on Friday
• Students have been given their theme and point of view quizzes returned and graded. Please check with them for their scores or Gradebook
• We are continuing to work on Extended Responses in writing
• We will be studying poetry for the next two weeks
• We will be still dismissing outside. Please make sure your scholar has on the appropriate winter clothing.
